-
Zombie Apocalyse
-

-
This piece is a website layout for both a computer and mobile device. I designed the logo in Adobe Illustrator CC followed by adding associated stock photos to create the overall look and feel of a zombie apocalypse. Lastly the appropriate buttons were added to complete the layout. I love most the way I was able to create a fun and horrifying logo with associated images and translate each layout effectively for both PC and mobile devices.
-
Fancy Frozen Flavors
-

-
This brand idenity project was for a frozen yogurt restaurant, being given some requests for the overall look being appealing to not just children. A market research was conducted of competing companies and also of the target market audiences. The brand identity was then put together including the creation of the logo using orange as the main color, which stimulates appetite and the use of complementary hues of blue and green. The overall result was a brand which was modern, sophisticated, clean, and appealed to a broad range of frozen yogurt eaters.
-
Tsunami
-

-
I designed this logo and branding element for a video communication application. I was only given the product name and catch line from which I created this design piece. Using Adobe Illustrator CS, I let the wave be my inspiration which shows the color blue and wave movement in the product name. I love most that this piece reflects my vision as a designer and creative identity in the clean and flat modern design elements and visual communication. As a designer I love the use of clean and simple lines while my creativity lets me use typeface and icons to visually communicate to the viewer.
-
Hayes Street Grill Menu
-

-
This piece was a menu where I was given the name, a brief description, and the actual menu of a restaurant. I went with a clean and sleek black and white color palette to show a sense of modernism and class as well as in the logo which exemplified the fire element of the grill. The result is a timeless style menu which appeals to a broad range of people looking for some food off the grill.
-
Carnival Posters
-

-
This project was a poster advertising an event in the style of an art direction. I choose to use the style of Art Deco to advertise for a Brazilian Carnival event in New York City. The target audience was people seeking a fun and flavorful night of dancing and Brazilian culture. This was created in Adobe Illustrator CC with the use of the colors of the Brazilian flag (blue, yellow, and green), the New York City skyline in the background, with a large iconic Brazilian icon being the toucan and mask, and confetti falling from the sky indicating celebration. I love most the overall look and feel of fun all while being so eye catching.
-
Communication App
-

-
This piece of work was created several years ago where I was asked to develop the UI for a communication application. I was given all of the required pieces of information that needed to be displayed. Using Adobe Illustrator CC I created this layout using inspiration from iOS 6 which was the current running system of iOS devices at the time. The target audience would be iPad users looking for an easy and intuitive user experience with the application. I loved most the result of the overall outcome which I feel works very well within the iOS 6 environment and is easy to use.
-
Photography Logo
-

-
This piece of work was created for my personal photography brand. I needed a logo that went with my original design brand; JD Visual Designs, sharing the same design aesthetics. The target audience would be clients seeking photography from a modern quality professional. I created this project using Adobe Illustrator CC taking inspiration from clean and simple lines for a modern minimalist effect that would look good while not being distracting when placed on or near the photography media. I love most the look and feel of being clean and simple yet sophisticated and the way the logo complements my photography work.
-
EPA posters
-

-
These posters were designed as two different versions of posters for a social awareness cause being a electronic recycle program whith emphasis of the toxicity of disposing of cell phones. To do so I made the cell phone the main focal point through the use of high scale in combination of the skull and cross bones symbol to convey toxicity. Also the use of all capital letters on the title lets it grab your attention and show alertness. The result is an in-you-face message which leads the viewer to read more about the issue and where to go being the website for more information.
-
Website Wireframes
-

-
Here are the first set of wireframes and high fidelity renderings of this web site. The objective was to create a responsive website to showcase my work while keeping with the brand of JD Visual Designs. The simple layout and information architecture allow the user to clearly see the work at the height of the visual hierarchy, while the menu and logo come secondary. As the page width decreases, the icons change size and layout to adapt responsively to optimize user experience on a PC, tablet, and mobile device.
-
MoMA lecture series posters
-

-
These posters were designed for a MoMA lecture series in the style of the Italian graphic designer; Massimo Vignelli who’s most know for the branding of the New York City Subway system of signs and maps. This was created in Adobe Illustrator CC while inspired looking at several of Vignelli’s works of art using his techniques of design including Vignelli’s 1976 Olympic poster and his Knoll branding. I love most the overall result of the modern and clean feel and design and how it pays tribute to the great Vignelli’s work.
-
Fusion Expo Banners
-

-
These expo banners were created for a trade show several years. In addition to the banner designs I had also solely created the logo and brand identity for both the company and this product being “Fusion” including it’s logo. When putting together the banner designs I was given the wording content as well as the target audience being companies looking to intergrade communication software into their infrastructure. Using the Fusion orbs and color as design elements combined with mobile users the overall design complies within the brand identity and effectively promotes the product.
-
CafeX Business Card
-

-
This business card was created for an innovation lab division of a company. The client wanted a fun and edgy design. Having also created the logo, I used a textured background and off skewed the logo to give visual interest. Also positioning the card vertically gives an unconventional look and feel. The result is a more playful and attention grabbing business card.
-
CafeX Expo Banners
-

-
These Expo Banners were created for a tradeshow event in 2015. The banners were designed to display different types of comsumer endpoints using the telecomunication software on various devices. The computers and TV screen were then used to demo the software product.
-
Portraits and Landscapes
-

-

-
Michael Morales Realty
-

-
This logo was created for my friend who is a realtor. He wanted to incorporate his initials into the logo and transform the letters into houses. He had also wanted a simple postcard to send out to promote his business.
-
Gatorade ad campaign
-

-
This campaign was created for an advertisement campaign. I choose to focus on two lesser-known Gatorade products being Gatorade Recover and Gatorade Prime Activer which are taken before and after workouts. The campaign was designed around the popular themed races such as the Tough Mudder, Color, and Spartan Races using both male and female participants. The campaign was spread over mixed media including internet, magazine, billboard, and coupons.
